Large forged thumblatch ca. 1640-1740

Forged handle with a heart-shaped upper terminal and round bottom terminal featuring an extraordinary, hammered, handforged latch bar. Suitable for a gunstock door or a narrow-stile door. 

Handle is 1 3/4" wide, 10 1/4 " tall, with a 10" latch bar.
