Antique Eastlake Passage Set And Gravity Lock for half-lap double doors- 1876. (1840-1940)

Antique Eastlake cast-iron passage set with a half-lap cast-iron gravity lock for double doors. Gravity lock G.L. Co., patented May 30, 1876.  

Note the mechanism's unusual activation feature. The knobs do not rotate, serving merely as pulls, with the withdrawal of the latchbolt triggered by a flick of the index finger. 

Features black porcelain doorknobs with brass shanks secured to bronze-plated patterned backplates, and a brass patterned faceplate on the mortise lock. The set includes mounting screws and a strike plate.

Fully reconditioned and restored, in perfect working order.
