Jennens & Bettridge Game Box

A fine English game box by the celebrated Jennens & Bettridge, circa mid-19th century. The base houses five fitted interior boxes, each topped with a playing card lid—a hallmark of the maker's craftsmanship. Original outer lid is absent, revealing the ingenious compartmented design within. An exceptional example of Victorian gaming luxury and decorative woodwork for the serious collector of antique games and home furnishings.
