Novel forged Norfolk thumblatch ca. 1740-1840

Pull handle forged onto an urn-shaped backplate filled with repoussé flowers. Unique thumbpiece treatment featuring an iron knob instead of a thumbplate and a round terminal on the other end in place of the typically pointed tip.

Handle is 2 1/4" wide, 7 1/4 " tall, with an 8 1/2" latch bar.
