Unusual scalloped Norfolk thumblatch ca. 1740-1840

Unusual scalloped backplate on Norfolk-style thumblatch featuring a teeter-totter thumb piece atop an ornate cast iron handle.

Latch has a backplate 7 1/4" tall  by 1 7/8" wide with  a 7" latchbar
